Hands up!

What is it about this song that literally makes me put my hands up? I actually want to plan a gathering just so we can dance to this song together. Refreshments, strobe light and pyrotechnics will be provided; foam hands, vuvuzelas, dogs and babies welcome.

A 21st century German TV show performance of the 1981 hit “Hands Up (Give Me Your Heart)” by French disco act Ottawan, a song that was ultra popular in a bunch of places around the globe… I will make it a part of my rabble-rousing karaoke repertoire.

LOL @ the sponge hands. And did you notice the guy playing flute in the very beginning? I don’t know how we never performed it at karaoke……. That D.I.S.C.O. video is hilarious!

Olive, they’ve been around since the 70s but I only heard this song like 2 months ago and thought this video was HILARIOUS. They’re a French disco group!

Olive how do you not know them? Club Med used it as their theme song for years. You should know your competition 😉

First and only time I heard this song was at a Club Med, Martinique, in 1984.

The first time I heard it was on a digital music station three months ago; looked it up and found out many people in certain countries listened to it faithfully and repeatedly!

Wow!! I’m really surprised and shocked that you only heard this song for the first time three months ago. I just assumed everyone knew it. I guess we got it in Canada but you didn’t get it in the States.
